The Newman University Women's Basketball Team topped Heartland Conference rival St. Edward's University 69-51 in Newman's first-ever nationally televised game. The Jan. 22 game broadcast on the CBS College Sports Network received the highest viewer ranking of all Division II athletics broadcasts (including football) so far this academic year, according to Commissioner of the Heartland Conference Tony Stiglieno.
